If we manage compressing 05 models YOBJ to BPE, we still have the texture size problem.
So, we have a problem same with entrance models of 06-11. Problem: models with large textures do not work in-game (except in slot 2).
So, even with BPE, 05 models will still have problems in-game. o ok i get it now, sorry bout that bro. No sleep makes wildforce not think straight. lol

Texture sizes can be adjusted. But the problem is bpe compression.

But I dont recall a tutorial on this, could you share how it is done?

But I havent seen a tutorial on this, could you share how it is done? doing a new texture archive with a hex editor is not difficult i used to do it this way on my psp mods, also the create a texture archive feature works for ps2 too you can create it using the rtx files or tm2 files x-packer convert them automatically

1.Resize the textures to half the size(resolution) of the entrance textures.
2.place them in the Xpacker directory.
3.Using Xpacker create a new texture archive option, open the TM2 files and then press create archive and save filename as 09.pac.
Remember to place the TM2 files in the Xpacker directory. Then only will Xpacker allow to create a new archive of textures.
Then inject the 09 pac over the old one in the inring Pac.

80las Wrote:{ Jun 23 2012, 12:30:50 PM } - @hardx: yes, you can create for ps2, but in-game there were texture problems for the tests we made long time ago.
If you used it in ps2 and it worked in-game, thats great news. Here is an experiment/Test you can try.
Aim-To check whether an entrance model can be used as an inring model.
or to Convert an entrance model to Inring.
Procedure-
1.Open your entrance PAC and extract 02.BPE(Don't uncompress)
2.Then inject the 02.Bpe over the inring 02.BPE
3.uncompress the entrance 09.PAC
4.Resize the textures to half the size(resolution) of the entrance textures. For example Resolution of the face texture of Entranceis 256X256 resize it to just the half thatis 128x128
5.place them in the Xpacker directory.
6.Using Xpacker create a new texture archive option, open the TM2 files and then press create archive and save filename as 09.pac.
Inject the new 09.PAC over the inring 09.PAC
Please try and Post the result.
Remember to place the TM2 files in the Xpacker directory. Then only will Xpacker allow to create a new archive of textures.

@eri: i know all this man i tested with tekken back when he made this feature. I meant a tutorial for the hex method.
when you said it can be done, i assumed YOU tested it with x-packer.
