yes, but with limit of letters...
you just need to hex edit the chetc.pac
Did you BPE uncompress?
Or just hex edit?

i couldn't bpe uncompress and rebuild the file, so i only hex edited, and only few charachters overalls were edited, the other ones will be edited via in-game
