real problem is not who's the author of the mods..real problem is every modification to a videogame could be illegal..cause videogames are protected by international copyrights..
when you buy a game anywhere you live, you can use it as you want but if you try to mod you can do somethin' illegal..in other words..you can buy a book and burn the pages but you can't write it again ..cause it's protected by author and book label copyrights

Without asking permission and basically taking credit for something they have not made is not on!!!
Im fully aware that what we all do as modders could be classed as "Illegal" but its more of a respect thing IMO..
Some people dont have the decentcy to atleast ask permission, or credit! Thats my issue with this whole thing.
