[Closed] Donkey Mods - donkey33 - 01-20-2015 HCTP is still probably my favourite wrestling game. I remember growing up with it, it had a great roster but the main reason was I loved the season mode and the fact you could enter created wrestlers into it. No other games after it really allowed it and even with universe in the later games, it's still not a season mode where I can take one guy through. Haven't played the game for ages as I was creating a roster for my own use. Guys I wanted in it, in my season mode. Took a while obviously making CAWs and then took a long time re-rating all the wrestlers to my liking via the cheat codes, putting in custom music and titantrons, etc. Back then, there was no way to import models so I was okay with that. Fast forward 18 months and I just stumbled across this place somehow. Spent a fair while reading and testing some of the mods in my game. Love being able to have models now so I can complete my roster properly without CAWs. Some are great, some are okay, some I can't find so I'm testing creating my own for now. So, spent a couple of hours trying to create my first one which is Scott Hall as I couldn't find one anywhere and I want to complete the nWo. I saw one in a thread but it was a preview only with no download link so I thought I would give it a crack.

As you can see, the base had a knee brace. I don't know enough about all this to remove it. I tried to make it transparent but it just came out white so I just placed what I wanted over the top. I can live with that if there is no way to remove it/get around it. I tried using skin but being a brace, then the skin was risen compared to the rest of the leg. Any help on what I can do here appreciated. This is just in noesis also as I need to do more reading now to see how to get the files into the game so I can test it in game. That's the next step but I was pretty careful in lining up eyes, nose and mouth features but we'll see when I get it in. Any tips/thoughts on how I should improve it? [Closed] Donkey Mods - Undertaker Fan - 01-20-2015 Looks really good. Did you used reference pics or game textures? [Closed] Donkey Mods - donkey33 - 01-20-2015 By reference pics I assume you mean other game face textures? Otherwise I'm not sure (still pretty new to all this). I tried using Scott Halls face from the WWE 2k14 textures which came out okay but was just off so I grabbed this pic from a promotional 2k14 poster and it worked well once I ironed out the lighting. Textures for his trunks/arm and leg bands are from 2k14 also (DLC pack). I assume that's what you mean. Although I'm having a lot of trouble right now importing the textures into the PAC file. For half of them, I keep getting the error that the size needs to be the same which is double on some of them. I load them up and see that even though I saved these files with 16 colors, they're reverting to 256 colors for some reason and I can't figure out how to save them as 16 colors. Is it not possible (for example), to have a tm2 file with only skin in it, add a dark texture and save as 16 colors? That's the issue I'm having. A skin only texture where I added some hair (black color) but when I reduce the color to 16 and save, when I load it back up, it still shows as 256. Just to clarify so someone can hopefully help me, this is what I'm doing. 1. Open tm2 file 2. Save as png 3. Open in Photoshop 4. Switch to RGB 5. Edit and then save as png 6. Open in Optpix 7. Reduce color to 16 (256 if the file calls for it but the issue is the 16 files) 8. Create alpha channel (half 256 setting) 9. Save as tm2 file Then the original tm2 file shows 128x128 8bpp (16) + 100% Alpha on it. When I open the tm2 file I just saved, it shows 128x128 8bpp (256) + 100% Alpha. The original tm2 file size is 9kb but this other is 18kb and I can't import it in. Any ideas? Okay, changed the indexed color image to 4 bit for the 16 colors and size is working now. I'll see if it all works out once I import them all. Got it working and it works fine in game (imported over the Rock). Only issue is I used Bradshaw (SYM) as the base and having not played that game a lot, I didn't realise his hair moved all over the place haha so I'll have to set him up with someone else I think. Looks fine but weird with all that flowing hair. [Closed] Donkey Mods - raghu - 01-20-2015 its good see new members try hctp modding so far face looks good just need to match the colours with rest of the body. about knee in wrestler modding there will be knee bads and elbow pads that r in 3d u cant remove them and add skin instead. it looks bad so u just have to work with it there is no way to remove it. u can use hardx36 importer/exportor to import ur mods into the game. u have to have correct wrestler ids which u can find in tutorial section. Good Luck. post ingame shots lets see how it looks. [Closed] Donkey Mods - donkey33 - 01-20-2015 Thanks. Yes, was just a first try but you're right, need to match colors a little better and it looks different in game so some work to do there. Although, I'm scrapping this one and starting fresh. The Bradshaw model just doesn't work with that hair so I'll look for another (even with a pony tail) and start fresh. Will post previews and screens once I get something down. [Closed] Donkey Mods - ryokudou - 01-20-2015 awesome mods & welcome to hctp section bro!!! looking forward for another mods ![]() btw don't use open mouth picture!!! [Closed] Donkey Mods - donkey33 - 01-20-2015 ryokudou Wrote:{ Jan 20 2015, 08:46:20 AM } - awesome mods & welcome to hctp section bro!!! looking forward for another modsThanks for the tip on mouths. I'll change it up ![]() Right now I'm having major issues with converting SYM models to HTPC so I can work with some of those models. I can get them in the game and entrance they are fine but in ring they are not with missing textures. In slot 2 though, they work fine. I think iit has something to do with .txc headers or size but with all my reading, I still can't figure it out. This link here is meant to be the updated/better tutorial (http://s4.zetaboards.com/Old_Skool_Reunion?topic=10115555/1/#new) but I can't fully understand what to do with this one so have been using this one (http://s4.zetaboards.com/Old_Skool_Reunion?topic=9916166/1/#new) and failing since some texture resolutions I haven't been able to find (128x256 leg texture in HTPC for example). What am I doing wrong as I want to work with some SYM models? How do I make sense of that jonny tutorial? I can't understand finding another wrestler from a different game and then renaming SYM files? There are different texture names though or do I have to find someone who has exactly the same texture numbers and exact names? Thanks [Closed] Donkey Mods - raghu - 01-20-2015 u dont have to convert it i think some or most wrestlers from sym already converted by jhonny, ryokudou and other members just download them in their texture modpacks. dont forget to give credits for converting [Closed] Donkey Mods - donkey33 - 01-20-2015 I can't find some that I need (Farooq, Billy Gunn and others) so trying to convert myself. I'm close but still need to figure out this .txc header thing or try and understand jonnys tutorial. Found them in ryokudou's mod pack. The only one I'm missing now is DDP from SYM. Is there one of him floating around as I can't seem to find it. Can't seem to figure out myself how to convert SYM to HCTP either even if I compare hex of the SYM models to the ones that are working in HCTP done by other people. [Closed] Donkey Mods - ryokudou - 01-21-2015 use ERI619 tutorial in svr 2010 section it's the same way |
