Here is the quaote from Tekken57 about older game models
"Things to note about older model files:
- HCTP models don’t display correctly due to issues with the models
- SYM models don’t display correctly due to issues with the models and different alpha values on the textures
- Svr 05 models don’t load in ring but load on entrances due to the large filesize of the textures. "
From that i personally think Smackdown vs Raw 2005 models can be made compatible by
reducing the texture resolution, which will reduce the texture file size as well as it is mentioned above that Svr 05 models don’t load in ring but load on entrances due to the large filesize of the textures.
I wouldlike to see someone try this,i can't try it because my exams aren't over yet.

Fascinating!!!!
Well is there any point modding SvR05 if the textures dont load in game??
I mean, do we want to mod a game you cant actually play the mods in-game with??
Also if you are reducing the filesize of the textures. Wont quality be lost in the mod?? Seems pointless to me!

What i meant is,we can import the Sm vs Raw 05 models into 2010 reducing the texture resolution which inturn reduces the filesize

I'm damn sure it will work. And what i noted is undertakers and Mark Henry's textures are in 128x128 Resolution in Smackdown vs Raw 2011.So Reduction in Texture resolution wont that difference in quality of the mod.

Sorry, but this idea was tested many months ago (back in caws.ws)
To test the idea, Tekken57 added a special feature (create new texture archive) in x-packer, several people tested it (me too), but it did not work.
The only similar thing that worked, was made by Andy:
With Hex editing, he deleted the arm textures of legend undertaker (making his arms look black), but again the result only worked for player 2 slot. If you used it for player 1, 3, or 4 it had gfx errors.
