replacing festus mtp2 with sandmans mtp2 pic for ps2 - mill1rbt2 - 12-22-2011
I am trying to replace festus svr2010 mtp2 picture in hex with the sandmans from svr2008 by watching the tutorial video on youtube about how to add selection screen pics...my offset at the end of the MENU.PAC in hex is 023137F0 and not 023317F0 i'm not sure of the difference it might make when watching the tutorial video so I could use some help?

Well! Look, man ... Correct Offset must begin with 000 or 800 ... That is, after 023137F0 will be 2313800. I understand you correctly? The video ends with the last Offset 023317F0, but you have 023137F0???

yeah my offset at the end of MENU.PAC was 023137F0 and I'm not sure if I got to 023137F0 by adding an extra line or added a bunch of zeros until I got to 02331800 but I ended up going through the tutorial and getting an error with the final result so i'm going to have to try again because the selection pic of the sandman did not show up....maybe what you said is the way I should do it and just add an extra line so I get 02331800 I will try that in the next attempt

Dude, you do not have anything to add zeros! If you insert a file at the end of the file "menu.pac", it automatically becomes offsent "2313800" ... Well, then change the "plistps2.arc" Try it!
Sorry for my bad English.

i'm just now getting back with a reply yes it becomes 02313800 but this early morning I had an error after rebuilding with the sandman's selection pic my ps2 asked me to insert a real playstation 2 disc ....I divided 02313800 by 800 and subtracted 8 in hex and got 461F which is reversed and added to plistps2.arc toward the end of the process but I think I know where the error is i'm wondering about the Size = Size/100)+1 [Calculate in decimal and convert to hex after it] is the size supposed to be 41/100+1 in decimal because after converted to hex it only equals 3 and A200 can't be used in place of size/100+1 because decimal doesn't have letters....also rebuilt with MENU.PAC AND PLISTPS2.ARC with sandmans mtp2 saved in menu.pac and plistps2.arc updated with D000 changed to D200 for one selection pic when rebuilding if it helps but got the red screen

Try this: insert at end of file "menu.pac" selection pic of Sandman. If you want to change it to Festus, in the file "plistps2.arc" find "SSFA", ID Selection pic Festus - 214, its present XX and YY - 1B 29 52 00 ... Simply replace the 1B 29 52 1F 46 00 to 00 A2 ...

Oh yes, and even
SSFA-Pics that appear in the Selection Screen
SSFB-Pics that appear on the screen where you are given an option to change the rules and arena.
SSFC-Small Pics in the creation menus.

man this is kinda odd the game froze with the wwe loading logo in the lower left corner of the tv screen....the only other thing I rememeber doing is replacing festus wrestling model with the sandmans wrestling model using the svr2010 roster editor tool and I did that the right way and then put the modified CH3.PAC file in the CH folder before rebuilding the iso....I redid replacing festus sselection pic with the sandmans selection pic and the screen has frozen what I will do is keep sandman in CH3.PAC but use the original MENU.PAC and PLISTPS2.ARC as a test to see if the selection pic is causing it

They can not be viewed. Just look for the ID, such as The Rock - 64 (100 in the editor) ... Just convert numbers from hex to decimal ... And read here http://s4.zetaboards.com/Old_Skool_Reunion?topic=8726082/1/
