Try to make half of original image. For example, if it is 128x64, make it 64x32 and then add bytes via hex editing to match the size.

dang it .... i am a noob at hex ... anyone else with a solution ?

It is simple. Just open your original and edited files. And add bytes until size is the same.

actuallyits more simple you only have to save the tm2 with the same settings as the original i mean those textures must be 16 colors and you are saving them as 256 colors thats why the size is bigger

i'm back with a fail ... i saved the settings the same but the file is still bigger ... dang it i don't know what to do !i just need to change the ads , the fence logo and the turnbuckle and the raw is war arena is finished .... WHAT AM I DOYING WRONG ?

on psp as i told in my tutorials i have modded textures without touching ARC file.
it's normal that your textures when converted could be bigger than original..the way is to get smaller the textures in png to edit until you find a size a little bit down original..then using hex editor put the missing bytes until you will have a file with same size of original..

Try this, create a new texture archive, select all the tm2 files, and inject the new archive (the new C8 archive) into your untouched arena. Try that.
More detailed.
Edit your tm2 files and save them. Now, all of the tm2 files inside the folder you edited and the stuff you didn't edit, create a new texture archive and select ALL that tm2 files. The archive will have all the files displayed, save it to the desktop and rename it to C8.pac. Now, open the arena you extracted the C8.pac from. Inject your NEW C8.pac file that you edited the tm2's on. It will say it injected. Then import and it works!
