Help with the Legends Mod - WTF - 11-12-2012
Hey guys, first time really modding this game. I'm trying to find a little help on what I believe is a pretty common issue when you first start, just by reading through the posts. I downloaded Gamepro's awesome Legends mod, went through, rebuilt the game ISO using expert. I get in the game, the wrestlers show up, the music shows fine, however, the names and movesets are still the standard Default ones that shipped w the game. For example, Jake Roberts is Cena, etc. I have read that I need to "rebuild my save", and after searching through the tutorial section, I can't seem to figure it out.
Can someone either point me in the right direction so I can figure it out, or be so kind as to explain it to me? Thank fellas.
And for those who were upset that I was able to Shout in the Shoutbox, my bad. I wasn't aware that I wasn't technically "supposed" to be able to do so, or else I wouldn't have in the first place. 31 year old Law Enforcement Officer, don't want to be breaking forum rules either, ha!
Thanks guys
Will
Also, to clarify, I'm on PCSX2, attempting w/ a NTSC version of SD vs Raw 2010. I have used the ARC file that was uploaded in the thread to bring it to NTSC. Just really unsure of what I'm doing wrong. Do I need a "save file"?

As far as the Shoutbox thing goes, that was not your fault, so you do not need to apologise. We gave you a privilage too early, and then did not say anything about using or not using it. You weren't on the wrong for assuming that you were allowed to. But you should be in the second level VERY soon, and then you will be allowed to use it freely. So as far as this goes, we consider the issue sorted.
Before people jump in and tell you to read the tutorials, it looks like you have tried this already. So I will try to answer your questions as best as I can.
There are two ways to fix the moveset problem. In the game, go into create-a-moveset for the desired character, and replace it with a preset moveset. And then edit the entire moveset as you would for a CAW. The other way is to use Nike The Bike's editor. It can be found in the tutorial section and is for free. Although, any donations to Nike would be appreciated. Admittedly, both of these can take a while.
We have tutorials on how to change the names. Again, an easier method is to use Nike's editor. It will allow you to change names, attributes, genders and abilities very quickly.
When you use your modded game for the first time, after ANY changes, start WITHOUT a save file.
Which arc file did you use? If you used mine, there are problems with it that I am trying to work out. If it worked for you, PLEASE let me know what did work, and what did not. I hope to have a perfect one done by this weekend.

Thanks for the reply, I failed to advise that WCW Rick led me in the right direction. I saw that he was having the same issues that I was having, so I reached out to him. Your post hits the nail on the head when you said, start WITHOUT a save file, haha. It's as simple as that. I was beating my head against the wall, and figured it was a simple issue.
Thanks again for the response. Now I'm just trying to get some new PAC's imported. I think after a while it will become second nature, but as with everything, I guess there's a learning curve.
