Halfway transparent .png files after converting from .tm2

Hey guys,

this drives me nuts. Where ever I see a tutorial with the process of converting tm2 textures into png (with optpix imagestudio) the final png textures are ok. But when I save the tm2 files to png, the textures look halfway transparent.

I know it's something with the alpha channel, but I can't figure it out. Please help me.

Here is an example texture:

change the alpha channel to 255 or just save it in other format

but then all transparency is gone. for example in hair textures. there i need the transparency to display the hair properly when i preview my edited textures on the model. so how do i accomplish that?

i suppose you are using noesis to preview your model the good thing about noesis is you can preview the textures in tm2 format so you dont need to convert them anyways if you still need to save the alpha channel to edit the texture save it as psd in optpix so you can open it in photoshop

actually i used blender, but now i see why everyone uses noesis. thanks a lot.
