starting texture mods

I want to start doing texture mods but i'm a photoshop noob , could you please recommend me noob friendly tutorials ?

You can use paint.NET instead, it's free and a little more lightweight aswell.

right. i have used paint.net for all my textures hacking :yes: easy to use and free
but if you wanna work on ps2 textures you have to use optpix image studio

Only for the importing part, not the actual editing, optpix is not advanced enough in my opinion, but yeah you must have it.

Sounds like he already HAS photoshop.

Paint.net is alright, but in my opinion doesn't come close to photoshop. I love PS.

I agree it does not but PS is not free and it is more advanced to use. Or at least it was back when I used to use it.

But if you own PS and can use all its features, that's better.

you can use a crack to overcome paid problems and it's confusing in the beggining, but with time you find out how it works...
and i do not use only one program.. i use PS, the normal Paint of Windows and Optipix.
it all depends on what you need to do

Thanks guys i already have photohop cs2 i only need re-texturing tutorials
