I have done extensive editing to the game , what causes the game to freeze on the very first loading screen ? (the wwe loading spinning logo when the game boots up)

if game crash at first loading screen could be this ..everytime a modder does a new mod in the game it's a good idea to rebuild iso for to see if it works..this way you can understand at 100 % the reason about a freeze in the game. if before worked right the problem is the last mod.

sorry dude but we cant help you with taht info you modded 13 different stuff so we cant known whats wrong, as honkytonkman says the best option is always import one single modded thing at time so you can known if it works or not

I actually remember now , the game worked until i imported 3-4 wrestlers and selection screens using the editor

if you imported to ssfc pictures using the editor it will crash it is a known bug in svredit

Will removing the imported pacs (undoing what made the game freeze) fix the problem ?

also the problem could be on the misc pac too try using the original misc.pac
