go to your x-packer folder, open txc_samples and create a file with 256x64 pixels and with 256 colors. save it and it's done

try opening 256x64x16.txc in hex editor.
then convert the number 16 to hex, it will be 10(in hex)
then convert the number 256 to hex, it will be 100(in hex)
then, where is 10, replace it for 00 01(100 in inverted hex)
then say if it worked

ok, no problems, but check when you re-import the textures that you extracted if they really works as i don't know the exact use of txc files, but maybe they could give you errors

You do not need to edit or create any txc files.
xpacker automatically creates them when you export tm2 files, then uses them when reimporting tm2.
You only need to create missing tm2 files, this was answered many times in help section.
