Each Fire TV remote has a range that requires it to be close to the FireStick in order to function properly. Remotes prior to the second generation had infrared technology built in, but the remote you're using has Bluetooth technology, thus it needs to be close to the FireStick to work.Because the FireTV remote connects to the FireStick through Bluetooth, its connection may be disturbed if other devices are in range. Devices that use Bluetooth, such as AirPods and Wireless Keyboards, can clog the connection and cause your FireStick control to stop operating. This could be why isn't my firestick remote working.
